Is there a list of what apps, windows, settings, etc that need to be set for this NOT to happen? It's happened for years for me, and now with this special situation of quarantine, I am hoping that the gurus here can help me (in the past everyone was of course busy with their work and lives). I boot ProTools, do work, close out, and then when trying to open a project by directly clicking on the newer or same project, need to force quit Protools and reboot to continue. I often get 'Pro Tools not responding' in the 'Force Quit Applications' tool, usually after I have done some work on a freshly opened Protools app (sometimes an hour or so, sometimes sooner).

I can not raise as much in Cubase or AD2 without peaks.I have a fairly simple setup with my MacBook Pro and 2 external screens. With the TD-30 only, I can play twice as high in headphones.

Mix stands on Daw, headphones slider on max and max in Windows. Just bought UR22 and plugged in but have problems with the sound level. If you have any questions, please let me know. With all these being said, I think I will prefer to use the Steinberg UR22 external audio interface, because of the lower latency. I had the feeling I hear that latency, but I am not sure.

  • The TD-25 module introduced a slightly higher latency, that was about 3.3ms.
    • So to lower the volume of the MP3s in your TD-25, while in "USB SONG" mode, press Menu > Song Volume, and then change to something less than 100.
  • If you want to play-along with some MP3 files from your TD-25 module, they will be really loud compared with the sound of the Addictive Drums 2.
    • If you want to hear only the Addictive Drums 2 sounds, you have to configure in your TD-25 module the following: Menu > Setup > Midi > Local Control > OFF
  • Initially you will hear in the headphones both the Addictive Drums 2 and the TD-25 module sounds.
  • You have to connect you headphones to the Phones output of your TD-25 module.

  • Install the Roland TD-25 ASIO drivers in your Windows 7 laptop.
  • You have to connect the square USB port of your TD-25 module to the USB 2.0 port of your laptop.
